Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about demolition, strip-outs, concrete breakout, site clearance and Non-Licensed Asbestos Removal.
How is a garage demolition quotation prepared?
The quotation depends on the size of the structure, the construction type, access to the site, waste disposal requirements and whether the concrete base also needs removing. Demo Solutions reviews the project details properly and may arrange a site visit where required.
Do you remove garage bases and concrete slabs?
Yes. Demo Solutions can carry out the breakout and removal of garage bases, concrete slabs, floors, paths, hardstanding and other concrete structures as part of domestic and commercial demolition projects.
Can you remove a garage with an asbestos roof?
Yes, subject to the type, condition and classification of the asbestos-containing material. Where asbestos is suspected or confirmed, Demo Solutions can assess the structure and advise on the appropriate removal process.
What types of demolition work do you carry out?
Demo Solutions provides garage demolition, outbuilding and shed removal, domestic demolition projects, commercial demolition and strip-outs, internal soft-strip works, concrete breakout and removal, site clearance and demolition waste removal.
Do I need to disconnect utilities before demolition starts?
Yes. Before demolition work begins, all live services should be safely identified, isolated and disconnected where required. This may include gas, electricity, water, drainage, telecommunications, broadband and any other connected services serving the structure.
What happens to the waste after demolition?
Demolition waste can be loaded, removed and disposed of through appropriate waste disposal routes. Materials are assessed based on their type, volume and any specific handling requirements, with disposal arrangements planned accordingly.
Which areas do you cover?
Demo Solutions provides demolition services across Solihull, Birmingham, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and surrounding areas throughout the West Midlands.
Will the site be left clear when the work is finished?
Yes. As part of the agreed demolition works, the site will be left clear of demolition debris and waste materials included within the quotation. Reinstatement works, landscaping, ground levelling, resurfacing, making-good or preparation for new construction are only included where specifically stated within the quotation.
